), a bay tobiano two year old gelding, sold to a delightful couple, Mary Jane Vinton and Thom Knapp of Centerville, IA, over Thanksgiving, 1998. A shot of ON target "launched" and ON PARADE showing his big reaching trot appeared in the January, 1999, Arabian Horse World.PANDEMONIUM ON target (ROL RAVEN x PANDEMON CANTA LIBRE) a liver chestnut statuesque '98 colt with just a minimal amount of white in his tail, serving as the bullseye target, and PANDEMONIUM ON PARADE (ROL RAVEN x PANDEMON PUNCTION),
So taken with the ON and ON nature of the names, they named their newly acquired 4 mo. old Persian kitten ON COUCH. I suggested she needed a first name, like "Clause". "Peace" was barely mentioned at all... just sort of a nightmare in passing...
Repeat owner Steve Davenport, Seymour, IA, stopped by one drizzly fall day and took home "the cure for the common colt:" COMMON PANDEMONIUM (SX OMEGA x PANDEMON PUNCTUATION) a chestnut '98 colt with a blaze and several white feet, friendly to a fault. Word has it that some little girl is going to find something warm and willing in her stocking. "Slobbers Joke"
Steve also owns RAPTUROUS PANDEMONIUM, COMMON's half sister out of PUNC and ROL RAVEN.
Angela Wagner, a wedding and graduation photographer, has had a long love affair going with the Arabian. Last winter, she kept DAWNS DARCIE in addition to her own three. In 1998, she fell for the unique shade of chestnut that earned PANDEMONIUM CLAYBANK (SX OMEGA x PANDEMONIUM KARESS) his name.
But, she was not wary! My herd is booby trapped! The Slobbers got her; this time in the form of PANDEMONIUM OMEN, (by SX OMEGA) the master slobberer, son of boss mare GAI CAROUSEL. He and his half brothers SOMBRERO and COMMON formed a gang that positively attacked any human brave enough to enter the field.
"Hands out!" OMEN'd whinny.
"Now, scratch! There. No, there. No, now there. Press harder. HOW DARE YOU LOOK AT ANOTHER COLT! YOUR SOLE PURPOSE IN LIFE IS TO PAY ATTENTION TO ME!"
And Angie believed.
She went home with a top purebred rather than the bargain basement solid partbred she'd been planning on.
And dreamed. Haunted by CLAYBANK, she returned, surreptitiously loading up CLAYBANK and carting him home, too.
After all, why did God give people two hands, if it wasn't to pet two horses at once?
PANDEMONIUM SO BLUE (ROL RAVEN x PANDEMONIUM CARIÑOSA) "done been stole". The "thief" is his new owner, Robin Haring, Cambria, IA, who once owned a full sister, PANDEMONIUM MARIE. BLUE joins his 3/4 sister PANDEMONIUM DENALI, a lovely chestnut tobiano out of PANDEMONIUM FANTASIA. Robin, soon to produce her fifth child, says that BLUE will be her personal riding horse and may see a little of the show ring in the future.
Congratulations to Sharon Bolin, Unionville, MO, on her purchase of PANDEMONIUM CRYSTAL, 1998 chestnut partbred filly by ROL RAVEN x PtHA Champion PANDEMONIUM ANGEL+, and PANDEMONIUM PARADOX, 1998 black-bay partbred filly by ROL RAVEN x PANDEMONIUM DE NADA.
Sharon's family still has PANDEMONIUM PEACOCK, a gelding they got here 21 years ago, still sound and working.
Congratulations to Brenda Remsing of Humeston, IA, on the purchase of the sweet-natured companion gelding, PANDEMO SWEET WILLIAM, a chestnut yearling son of PANDEMONIUM DEBUT out of PSA ALLEGRA, a straight Egyptian mare with an exotic head and a pedigree that reads like a "Who's Who" listing.
In the spring of '98, trainer Leon Matthias, MATTHIAS ARABIANS, Readlyn, IA, acquired two Pinto fillies, PANDEMONIUM ANGELINA, a 50-50 marked dark bay tobiano partbred three year old filly by ROL RAVEN x PtHA Champion PANDEMONIUM ANGEL+ and the bay tobiano two year old PANDEMONIUM ALLEGRE, the first foal by PANDEMONIUM DEBUT out of PSA ALLEGRA, my only straight Egyptian mare. Hopefully, one will see the show ring before hitting new homes.
Leon is the trainer who got PANDEMONIUM RHAPSODY qualified for the Canadian Nationals in western pleasure in just four shows, then SOLD her!
ANGELINA returned to PANDEMONIUM in the spring of 1999 as a green broke four year old, as her dam is 20 and may not live long enough to produce another Pinto filly, whereas ALEGRE has a full sister born in '99, PANDEMONIUM ALEGRIA.
Congratulations to Deniese Sigwalt, UGOTASEA OUR ARABIANS, Lucas, IA, on her sale of two colts, a son of ROL RAVEN, UGOTASEA KOMET, out of PANDEMONIUM KARESS and
UGOTASEA TEQUILA
UGOTASEA TEQUILA, by PANDEMONIUM DEBUT and out of the purebred Arabian mare CANADIAN SUNRISE.
