ORDINANCE NO. 9.

AN ORDINANCE IN RELATION TO CITY TREASURER.

Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Browning, Missouri, as follows:

SECTION 1. The City Treasurer shall receive and faithfully keep all monies, warrants, books, bonds and obligations entrusted to his care and shall pay over all money, bonds and obligations of the city on warrants duly drawn, passed or ordered by the Board of Aldermen and signed by the Mayor and attested and sealed by the City Clerk, and not otherwise.

SECTION 2. The City Treasurer shall report to the Board of Aldermen, monthly, which report shall show the receipts and expenditures of the Treasurer, the amount of money on hand, the amount of bonds falling due, for the redemption of which provision must be made, and perform such other duties as may be required of him by law or ordinance.

SECTION 3. Before entering upon the discharge of his duties, the City Treasurer shall give a bond to the City of Browning, in the sum of (five hundred) two thousand dollars, with not less than two securities, to be approved by the Board of Aldermen, conditioned that he will discharge his duties as Treasurer fully and honestly, and do and perform the duties required by the ordinances of the City and the laws of the State.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
