ORDINANCE NO. 54
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BROWNING, MISSOURI; LEVYING TAXES IN THE CITY OF BROWNING, MISSOURI, FOR THE YEAR 1950.
WHEREAS, the county clerk of the County of Linn, State of Missouri and the County Clerk of the County of Sullivan, State of Missouri, have delivered to the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Browning, Missouri, a certified abstract of the property within the corporate limits of the City of Browning, Missouri, lying in their respective counties, made taxable by the laws of the State of Missouri, for school, state, and county purposes, which shows the assessed valuation of all such property, real, personal, bank and utilities to be the sum of $__________________
now therefore be it ordained by the board of aldermen of the city of browning, missouri, as follows:
SECTION 1: There is hereby levied, assessed and ordered collected on all taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of Browning, Missouri, made taxable by the laws of Missouri for state, County, and School purposes, a tax for general City purpose in the sum of seventy-five cents (75) on the hundred dollars valuation; for the purpose of creating a fund to be known as the Band Fund, created by the City of Browning, Missouri, by Ordinance No. 20 for the purpose of supporting a Browning Municipal Band the sum of one cent on the one hundred dollar valuation.
SECTION 2: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
