ORDINANCE NUMBER 53
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BROWNING, MISSOURI IN RELATION TO FIXING RATE OF TAX LEVY FOR TAXES IN THE CITY OF BROWNING, MISSOURI FOR THE YEAR 1949.
Whereas the County Clerk of the County of Linn, State of Missouri and the County Clerk of the County of Sullivan, State of Missouri had delivered the Mayor and City Clerk of the city of Browning, Missouri, a certified abstract of the property within the corporate limits of the said city of Browning, Missouri, lying in their respective counties purposes, which shows the assessed valuation on all such property, real estate, personal and Bank to be$_________.

Now therefore be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Browning, Missouri as follows:
SECTION 1: There is hereby levied, assessed and ordered collected on all taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of Browning, Missouri, made taxable by the laws of the State of Missouri, for State, County, and School purposes; a tax for General City Purposes for the year o 1949 in the sum of seventy-five cents on the one hundred dollars valuation.

For the purpose of paying the interest and creating a sinking fund to pay the principal of a bonded indebtedance of $25000.00 created in 1929 by Ordinance number 124 for the purpose of graveling the streets of Browning, Missouri the sum of sixty-five cents on the one hundred dollars valuation.

For the purpose of creating a fund to be known as the band fund, created by the City of Browning, Missouri, by Ordinance number 20 for the purpose of supporting a Browning Municipal Band the sum of one cent on the one hundred dollars valuation.
SECTION 2: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances that conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repelled.
SECTION 3: THIS Ordinances shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
