ORDINANCE NO. 47-Amended

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION THREE OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 47, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING AND REGULATING OF THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR, AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF LICENSE THEREFORE AND REGULATING THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR" BY INCREASING THE LICENSE FOR THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR FROM $25.00 PER YEAR TO $35.00 PER YEAR; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FIXING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE ORDINANCE.

Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Browning, Missouri, as follows:
SECTION ONE. That Section Three of an Ordinance Number 47, known as the Intoxicating Liquor Ordinance, passed and approved March 5, 1934, be amended by striking out the words "twenty-five dollars ($25.00)" and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "thirty-five dollars ($35.00) so that said section, as amended, shall read.

SECTION THREE. Amount of License. The following amounts shall be collected by the City of Browning, Missouri, for license to sell intoxicating liquor: For the sale of intoxicating liquor containing not in excess of five percent (5%) of alcohol by weight, the sum of thirty five dollars ($35.00).
For the sale of intoxicating liquor containing in excess of five percent (5%) of alcohol by weight, to be sold in the original package and not to be opened or consumed on the premises described in the license, the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00).

SECTION TWO. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION THREE This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
