ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS

OF THE CITY OF BROWNING, MISSOURI, A PROPOSITION TO INCREASE THE

GENERAL FUND PROPERTY TAX LEVY FROM SEVENTY-SEVEN CENTS (77cts) ON

THE ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR ASSESSED VALUATION TO ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) ON

THE ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR ASSESSED VALUATION.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF BROWNING, AS

FOLLOWS:

Section 1: That there be submitted to the qualified voters of the City of Browning, Missouri, at the general municipal election on Tuesday, the 1St day of April, 1997, the proposition to increase the General Fund Levy from 77 cts. on the $100.00 assessed valuation to $1.00 on the $100.00 assessed valuation.

Section 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Browning, Missouri, be, and she is, hereby authorized and directed to give notice of said election by filing a copy of this Ordinance with the County Clerk, as the election authority for Linn County, Missouri, forthwith.

Section 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Browning, Missouri, be, and she is, hereby authorized and directed to give notice of said election by filing a copy of this Ordinance with the County Clerk, as the election authority for Sullivan County, Missouri, forthwith.

Section 4: That the ballots to be used in said election shall be in substantially the following form:

SHALL THE CITY OF BROWNING BE AUTHORIZED TO

INCREASE ITS GENERAL FUND LEVY FROM 77 cts. ON THE

$100.00 ASSESSED VALUATION TO $1.00 ON THE $100.00 ASSESSED VALUATION.
