ORDINANCE



AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A CHIEF OF POLICE AND POLICE OFFICERS, DESIGNATING THEIR DUTIES AND FIXING THEIR COMPENSATION.



BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF BROWNING, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

Bill Murray is hereby appointed to act in the capacity of Chief of Police and to perform the duties thereof as directed by the Board of Aldermen and required by the ordinances of this City and statutes of this State. The 65 year age limit imposed by Ordinance 232, Section 28 is hereby waived for Bill Murray.



George Childs and Ed Schmidt are hereby appointed to act in the capacity of Policemen/Patrolmen and to perform the duties thereof as directed by the Board of Aldermen and required by the ordinances of this City and statutes of this State.



Compensation for these officers shall be established as the same rate of pay provided to officers in the "COPS grant" recently received by the City and such compensation shall be paid directly from that separate account established for the funds received under said grant.



Any ordinances in force and effect pertaining to compensation are hereby repealed to the extent inconsistent herewith.
