ORDINANCE NO. 20.
An Ordinance in Relation to Construction of the City Ordinances.
Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Browning, Missouri, as follows:
SECTION 1. Whenever any words in any ordinance importing the plural number shall be used in describing or referring to any matters, parties or persons, any singular matter, party or person shall be deemed to be included, although distributive words shall not be used, and when any subject, matter, party or person shall be referred to in any ordinance by words importing the singular number, only, or the masculine gender, several matters, parties or persons, and females as well as males and bodies corporate, shall be deemed to be included; provided that these rules of construction shall not be applied to any ordinance which shall contain any express provisisons excluding such construction, or where the subject, matter or context of such ordinance may be repugnant thereto.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
