ORDINANCE NO. 19.

An Ordinance in Relation to Billard Tables, Pool Tables, Pigeon Hole, Ten Pin Alleys, Etc.

Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Browning, Missouri, as follows:
SECTION 1. No person in this City shall keep any bowling saloon, ten pin alley, billiard or other table upon which ball and cue are used with a view of gain, or when money is charged for playing the same, without first having obtained authority therefor from the proper official of this city, as hereinafter provided; and all such saloons, alleys and billard tables in this City shall be subject to the restrictions of the ordinance, in relation to Dram Shops and Beer Houses.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk may grant licenses for the purposes contemplated in the first section of this ordinance as follows, to-wit: To the keeper of ten pin alleys, for each alley, Ten Dollars; to the keeper of billiard or other tables upon which ball and cue are used, for each and every table, Ten Dollars per year, payable annually; said licenses to be issued by him on presentation of the receipt of the City Collector's receipt for said sum.
SECTION 3. Every person obtaining license under this ordinance shall be subject to the ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance in Relation to Dram Shops and Licenses, Etc.," as far as the same in applicable; and every such person is prohibited allowing any person under the age of twenty-one years to frequent or loiter about any such saloon or alley, or play on any billard or other such table therein, without the written consent of the parent or guardian of such minor.
SECTION 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
