BILL NO. ORDINANCE NO. 181
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SALES TAX ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 6, 1984, AND STATING THE DATE OF IMPOSITION THEREOF.
Be it ordained by the board of aldermen of the city of browning,
As follows:
Section 1. It is hereby found and determined form the certification by the County Clerks of Linn and Sullivan Counties, that the vote in the Election for 1% City Sales Tax held in the City of Browning, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 6, 1984, resulted as follows:
LINN SULLIVAN TOTAL*
FOR 71 21 92
AGAINST 57 21 78
TOTAL: 128 42 170
*Absentees included in County of resident
Section 2. It is further found, declared and determined that Notice of said election was duly given and published in the manner provided bylaw, and that said election was held and conducted in all respects in conformity with the Constitution and Laws of the State of Missouri, and the ordinances of the City of Browning.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward to the Missouri Director of Revenue by certified copy of this Ordinance and of Ordinance No. 179, accompanied by a map of the City forthwith, in order that said tax shall become effective on the first day of the second quarter of the year 1985, to-wit, April, 1985.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
READ three times and passed by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Browning, Missouri, this 9th day of November, 1984.
