ORDINANCE NO. 11.
AN ORDINANCE IN RELATION TO CITY ATTORNEY.
Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Browning, Missouri, as follows:
SECTION 1. It shall be the duty of the City Attorney to prosecute and defend in behalf of the city, all suits, in which the city is a party, to advise the Mayor, Marshal or any menber of the Board of Aldermen on any question of law in which the city is interested and do all legal business for the city.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney shall receive for every action sustained before the Mayor, or officer trying the case, a fee of Two Dollars and Fifty cents, said fee to be taxed as other costs in the case.
SECTION 3. In all cases appealed from the judgment of the Mayor or officer trying a cause, or from the Circuit Court to a higher court the Board of Aldermen shall allow a reasonable fee to the City Attorney for attending to the same in each of said courts, and for all other legal work a reasonable compensation shall be allowed him.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
