ORDINANCE NO. 100

Bill No. 3 APPOINTMENTS OF SPECIAL MARSHALL
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL MARSHALS AND FIXING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE ORDINANCE.
Be it ordained by the board of aldermen of the city of browning, Missouri, as follows:
SECTION One. Whenever in the opinion of the Mayor that it is necessary to appoint special marshals for the City of Browning, Missouri, the Mayor shall make such appointment by filling written notice of such appointment with the City Clerk. The appointed marshal shall enter into a bond in the principal sum of $500.00 for the faithful performance of said bond shall be approved by the Board of Aldermen and the City of Browning shall issue to such person a commission as special Marshal. The compensation of such special Marshal shall be fixed by the Board of Aldermen by resolution. Such special marshal so appointed shall hold office at the will of the Mayor and maybe removed without notice or cause by written removal filled with the City Clerk. Such special marshal shall have all the rights, powers and privileges and duties of the regularly elected marshal.
SECTION Two. The duly elected and qualified Marshal of the City of Browning may appoint special marshals, upon filing notice of the appointment with the City Clerk, which said marshals shall work under the bond of the said Marshal. Such special marshals so appointed by the Marshal shall hold their office at the will of the Marshal and their term of office may be terminated at any time by the Marshal filing notice of the removal in writing with the City Clerk. Such officers appointed by the Marshal shall receive no pay unless the Board of Aldermen by resolution shall fix compensation for them. Such special marshals so appointed by the Marshal shall have the same powers, rights, privileges and duties as the regular marshal.
SECTION Three. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
SECTION Four. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
