MAMA CAT aka "Butt-Head". I call her that simply because she is a super Mom and I thought it was a lot better than her original name given by the previous owners. I had a hard time getting her fixed because she has the unheard ability to get pregnant while she's still nursing. She's a very gentle spirit with doe eyes. I saw her once break up a fight between two males by running between them. I think motherhood really changes an animal forever. They learn the rewards of self-sacrifice, become less egotistic and think of others.
WHINER [aptly named by the couple I adopted him from] is a real delight w/long yellow fur. Its fun to have a young cat again in the house.
DEPARTED
AGENT ORANGE was the last of the wild cats who lived in an old garage near my house. It took forever to domesticate them
BABOOSHKA was another of the wild cats I managed to domesticate. She was a real sweetheart who loved to lick my face when I was sleeping. HUCKLEBERRY had long yellow hair and one eye. He lost the other as a kitten and took a tough as nails approach if you tried and show any sympathy.
KALI was my nuerotic calico. Her favorite hobby was nursing on my earlobes. Couldn't get enough of it. I kinda liked it - very relaxing except she had to knead with her claws at the same time.
MAGI was another black cat who immigrated from the outdoors. Loved to lick my nose until it was raw, but she bit sometimes for variety. She had a hard time getting socialized and would come to me with moistened eyes sometimes. The first time I saw a cat cry was a family cat we'd had for a dozen years at my father's wake.
MYSTIC was adopted. She was abused by someone who lived with the owner and when she came here was the crankiest cat I ever met. She'd hiss and run away when any other cat came near and growl when I'd pet her. I decided to be patient when I heard a story about her attacking a boyfriend who was beating the owner. Mystic taught me what unconditional love is all about and she blossomed over time. She lived a good long 15 yrs.
RAVEN also used to be an outdoor cat. He got in a bad fight with a neighbor's tom though ... and decided to be an indoor cat. He loved burying his face in my arm and laying beside me in bed. He'd wait and let me practically crush him if I had to lean over to get something before he'd move. Raven would always come alive when men in particular would visit. He'd crawl up their pants and shirts and follow them outside. I think he wanted me to have a friend.
SMOKEY had long gray hair, beautiful and vain. She liked to sit on top of my monitor. Not a great idea, but try telling her. Once a kitten tried to get up there and she took a swat at her. I gave her a talking to, and a second later she got down and played with the kitten for awhile. A real sweetheart.
